Merchant adventurer Kings of Rhoda : The lost world of the Tucson artifacts

Abstract

The Tucson Artifacts are metal objects with inscriptions in the Latin, Hebrew and Brythonic (Old Cornish/Breton/Welsh) alphabets from the ninth century, recovered in Arizona in the years 1924-1929. They are now preserved in the Arizona Historical Society, Southern Division, in Tucson, accession 94.26.1-32. The stamp of Mesoamerican and Chinese connections is also on them. Their sheer existence provides an exciting boon to the fields of medieval history, American archeology, indigenous anthropology, geography, Judaic studies and Mesoamerican civilization.
