dc.description | John Faulkner RHA (1835-1894)
Studied at the Royal Dublin Society's School from 1848 and commenced exhibiting at the RHA in 1852. Left Ireland in 1870 "under circumstances which brought about his removal from membership of the Academy" (Strickland, Vol. II, p.340), but returned to exhibiting at the RHA in 1880, continuing to do so until 1887. (Whyte's)
The Dargle appears to have been a favorite spot for John Faulkner as he exhibited many views of the river and elsewhere in County Wicklow at the RHA.[note published by Reihill & Britton] | en |
