dc.description | Percy French was a graduate of Trinity College, Dublin. On termination of his employment as Cavan Board of Works Engineer in the mid 1880s, he devoted himself to composing, singing and watercolour painting. He often utilized both wet and dry brush techniques and specialized in mists and moors. The arch at the Leeson Street Bridge was purpose-built for Queen Victoria's visit in 1900. | en |
