dc.descriptionPercy French was a graduate of Trinity College, Dublin. On termination of his employment as Cavan Board of Works Engineer in the mid 1880s, he devoted himself to composing, singing and watercolor painting. He often utilized both wet and dry brush techniques and specialized in mists and moors. The present watercolor was mounted within an album with a quantity of photographs and newspaper cuttings, some depicting Percy French.en
