Abstract:
The high-temperature ferromagnetism in doped zinc oxide films was discussed. A connection between the electronic structure of (Zn 1-xMx)O and its ferromagnetic properties was found. A new source of magnetism in these oxides, namely, triplet states associated with two-electron defects was found. It was found that magnetic moments are related with two-electron defects in the films as well as unpaired electrons of the 3d ions.
