dc.description.abstractSpecific dimensions of the performance and characteristics of a matched sample of small manufacturing firms in the Mid West of Ireland and Northern Ireland are compared. The analysis examines comparative growth rates, markets, price and non-price competitiveness, premises, machinery, labour and productivity. Findings are contrasted with earlier comparisons of the two parts of Ireland with British mainland regions.
