Abstract:
An earlier paper reported the results of a programme of exploratory work carried out as a basis upon which to initiate a research programme into attitudes, values, and social structures associated with economic and social development, paying particular attention to rural Ireland. Following that work, a series of pilot studies was initiated to examine social attitudes, feelings about society and the way it should and does operate, and perceptions of the structure, of society.
