dc.description.abstract | There is no doubt that the Irish people are behind the rest
of the world in industries, and there is a concensus of opinion
that the reason is the unindustrial and impractical character
of our primary education. With regard to the first point
there is no need to quote proofs. The flood of foreign-made
goods, and the comparative absence of Irish ones is obvious to
all. As to the second, as an introduction to this paper, I shall quote
three eminently typical and trustworthy authorities. | en |
