Description:
This paper quantifies the economic effects of the Doha WTO negotiations. Most sectors of the Irish economy will only be marginally affected by reform. The most significant impact is on farming and related sectors. The paper suggests that the focus of Irish trade policy should be on the maintenance of the WTO as the guardian of a rules based free trade regime, and the continued development of an effective adjudication mechanism.
