Methodologies are required to enable the active translation of ethical issues pertaining to the human and social dimensions of new technologies, in a manner that considers the diversity of practices across research and innovation and commercial research projects. This paper presents a new methodology for embedding ethics assessment in human machine interaction (HMI)/human factors (HF) de-sign and evaluation activities.
