Abstract:
This paper will discuss the role of the body in the second language classroom. This paper developed from the authors interest and engagement with the kinaesthetic aspects of language learning. It explores areas such as embodied cognition, gesture and the physical manipulation of objects and to consider how impactful these can be within the realm of second-language acquisition.
